STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Registrar of Co-operative Societies,

Subject: The business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961 (Punjab Act 23 of 1961), the Transport Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative society carrying on the business of a co-operative society shall make an application in Form D to the Seed Certification Agency within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies shall ensure that society is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Seed Certification Agency within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Punjab.
