STANDING ORDER

To

All Assessors,

Subject: The display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Urban Planning and Development Act, 1973 (Uttar Pradesh Act 11 of 1973), the Environment Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the display of advertisements by owners of a hoarding.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hoarding carrying on the display of advertisements shall make an application in Form A to the Town Planning Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Assessor shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Planning Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
