STANDING ORDER

To

All Extension Officers,

Subject: The execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 5 to the Block Development Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Extension Officer shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Rajasthan.
