STANDING ORDER

All Registrars,

Subject: The running of an institution by institutions under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 (Gujarat Act 8 of 2009), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of an institution by institutions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every institution carrying on the running of an institution shall make an application in Form B to the Government of Gujarat within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar shall ensure that mark sheet is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Gujarat within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat.
