STANDING ORDER

To

All Certifying Officers,

Subject: The guardianship of a person with disability by limited guardians under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018 (Maharashtra Act 62 of 2018), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the guardianship of a person with disability by limited guardians.

2. The matter has been examined. Every limited guardian carrying on the guardianship of a person with disability shall make an application in Form I to the District Level Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Certifying Officer shall ensure that contract is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Level Committee within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra.
