STANDING ORDER

To

All Housing Commissioners,

Subject: The holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land under the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960 (Andhra Pradesh Act 15 of 1960), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of Government land on lease by lessees of Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every lessee of Government land carrying on the holding of Government land on lease shall make an application in Form C to the Rent Controller within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Housing Commissioner shall ensure that rent receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Rent Controller within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
