STANDING ORDER
To
All Sub-Inspectors of Excise,
Subject: The manufacture of excisable articles by manufacturers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915 (Madhya Pradesh Act 2 of 1915), the Ports Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of excisable articles by manufacturers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of excisable articles shall make an application in Form G to the Government of Madhya Pradesh within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. The Sub-Inspector of Excise shall ensure that stock register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Madhya Pradesh within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
