STANDING ORDER

To

All Collectors,

Subject: The transfer of property by transferees under the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Land Reforms Act, 1962 (Karnataka Act 10 of 1962), the Law Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transfer of property by transferees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transferee carrying on the transfer of property shall make an application in Form 4 to the Land Acquisition Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Collector shall ensure that award is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Land Acquisition Officer within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Karnataka.
