STANDING ORDER

To

All Regionals Officer of the Board,

Subject: The working of a brick kiln by owners of a brick kiln under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 5 of 1964), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a brick kiln by owners of a brick kiln.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a brick kiln carrying on the working of a brick kiln shall make an application in Form V to the Divisional Forest Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Regional Officer of the Board shall ensure that transit pass is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Divisional Forest Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Karnataka.
