STANDING ORDER

To

All Adjutants,

Subject: The plying of a vehicle within a cantonment by owners of a vehicle within a cantonment under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders... Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982), the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the plying of a vehicle within a cantonment by owners of a vehicle within a cantonment.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a vehicle within a cantonment carrying on the plying of a vehicle within a cantonment shall make an application in Form H to the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief within three days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Adjutant shall ensure that stores is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
