STANDING ORDER

To

All Assessors,

Subject: The running of a parking lot by operators of a parking lot under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1963), the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a parking lot by operators of a parking lot.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a parking lot carrying on the running of a parking lot shall make an application in Form D to the Standing Committee within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Assessor shall ensure that notice of demolition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Standing Committee within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
