STANDING ORDER

To

All Excise Guards,

Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Urban Development Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form F to the District Excise Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Excise Guard shall ensure that cask is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Urban Development Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
