STANDING ORDER

To

All Case Workers,

Subject: The running of a shelter home by shelter homes under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993 (Maharashtra Act 15 of 1993), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a shelter home by shelter homes.

2. The matter has been examined. Every shelter home carrying on the running of a shelter home shall make an application in Form I to the Child Welfare Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Case Worker shall ensure that admission register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Child Welfare Committee within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra.
