STANDING ORDER
To
All Circle Officers,
Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Cultivating Tenants Protection Act, 1955 (Tamil Nadu Act 25 of 1955), the Information Technology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Tahsildar within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.
3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
