STANDING ORDER

To

All Sports Officers,

Subject: Participation in competitions by athletes under the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974 (Telangana Act 2 of 1974), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to participation in competitions by athletes.

2. The matter has been examined. Every athlete carrying on participation in competitions shall make an application in Form B to the Sports Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Sports Officer shall ensure that register of athletes is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sports Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Telangana.
