STANDING ORDER

All Port Officers,

Subject: The operation of a cruise vessel by operators of a cruise vessel under the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Maritime Board Act, 1981 (Gujarat Act 30 of 1981), the Social Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a cruise vessel by operators of a cruise vessel.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cruise vessel carrying on the operation of a cruise vessel shall make an application in Form 8 to the Maritime Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Port Officer shall ensure that ship is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Maritime Board within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Gujarat.
