STANDING ORDER

To

All Fertiliser Inspectors,

Subject: The business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies under the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation and Development) Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation and Development) Act, 1966 (Karnataka Act 27 of 1966), the Agriculture Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of a co-operative society by co-operative societies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative society carrying on the business of a co-operative society shall make an application in Form D to the Government of Karnataka within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Fertiliser Inspector shall ensure that insecticide is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Karnataka within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Karnataka.
