STANDING ORDER

All Garrison Engineers,

Subject: The running of a canteen by holders of a canteen licence under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the Home Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a canteen by holders of a canteen licence.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of a canteen licence carrying on the running of a canteen shall make an application in Form D to the Station Commander within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Garrison Engineer shall ensure that canteen stock is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Station Commander within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
