STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Director of Education,

Subject: The running of a school library by managers of a school library under the Maharashtra Universities Act, 2016, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 2016 (Maharashtra Act 6 of 2016), the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a school library by managers of a school library.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manager of a school library carrying on the running of a school library shall make an application in Form G to the School Tribunal within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Director of Education shall ensure that question paper is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the School Tribunal within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
