STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of the Council,

Subject: The running of a clinical establishment by persons carrying on a clinical establishment under the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Private Clinical Establishments (Regulation) Act, 1997 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1997), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a clinical establishment by persons carrying on a clinical establishment.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on a clinical establishment carrying on the running of a clinical establishment shall make an application in Form 20 to the District Registering Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar of the Council shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Registering Authority within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
