STANDING ORDER

To

All Assessors,

Subject: The collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966 (Maharashtra Act 37 of 1966), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the collection of solid waste by contractors for solid waste collection.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for solid waste collection carrying on the collection of solid waste shall make an application in Form H to the Standing Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Assessor shall ensure that trade licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Standing Committee within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
