STANDING ORDER

All Panchayat Inspectors,

Subject: The operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994 (Rajasthan Act 13 of 1994), the Information Technology Department, Government of Rajasthan hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ferry by operators of a ferry.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ferry carrying on the operation of a ferry shall make an application in Form 2 to the Gram Sabha within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that register of buildings is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Gram Sabha within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Rajasthan.
