STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of the Authority,

Subject: The construction of a group housing scheme by builders of a group housing scheme under the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board Act, 1961 (Tamil Nadu Act 17 of 1961), the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of a group housing scheme by builders of a group housing scheme.

2. The matter has been examined. Every builder of a group housing scheme carrying on the construction of a group housing scheme shall make an application in Form D to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar of the Authority shall ensure that register of projects is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Co-operative Housing Societies within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
