STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputy Collectors,

Subject: The construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area under the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Fire Prevention and Fire Safety Act, 2005 (Uttar Pradesh Act 9 of 2005), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area by owners of a building in a vulnerable area.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building in a vulnerable area carrying on the construction of buildings in a vulnerable area shall make an application in Form B to the Director of Fire Services within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Collector shall ensure that installation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Fire Services within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
