STANDING ORDER

To

All Village Accountants,

Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960), the Tourism Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 8 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that land revenue receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Odisha.
