STANDING ORDER

All Deputy Directors,

Subject: Participation in competitions by athletes under the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Telangana Gaming Act, 1974 (Telangana Act 2 of 1974), the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Telangana hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to participation in competitions by athletes.

2. The matter has been examined. Every athlete carrying on participation in competitions shall make an application in Form G to the State Sports Council within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Deputy Director shall ensure that certificate of recognition is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Sports Council within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Food and Civil Supplies Department, Government of Telangana.
