STANDING ORDER
To
All Circles Inspector of Excise,
Subject: The wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964 (Goa Act 5 of 1964), the Labour Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the wholesale vend of liquor by wholesale vendors.
2. The matter has been examined. Every wholesale vendor carrying on the wholesale vend of liquor shall make an application in Form G to the District Excise Officer within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. The Circle Inspector of Excise shall ensure that licence is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within fourteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Goa.
