STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964 (Goa Act 5 of 1964), the Law Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the manufacture of denatured spirit by manufacturers of denatured spirit.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer of denatured spirit carrying on the manufacture of denatured spirit shall make an application in Form F to the District Excise Officer within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that cask is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Excise Officer within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Goa.
