New Delhi, dated the 24th August, 2016

STANDING ORDER

All Village Accountants,

Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (Delhi Act 8 of 1954), the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Village Accountant shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
