STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The working of a winery by licensees of a winery under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964 (Goa Act 5 of 1964), the Excise Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the working of a winery by licensees of a winery.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a winery carrying on the working of a winery shall make an application in Form B to the Licensing Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that sample is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Licensing Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Goa.
