STANDING ORDER

To

All Branch Managers,

Subject: Registration with the Welfare Board by buildings worker registered with the Board under the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Mathadi, Hamal and Other Manual Workers Act, 1969 (Maharashtra Act 30 of 1969), the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to registration with the Welfare Board by buildings worker registered with the Board.

2. The matter has been examined. Every building worker registered with the Board carrying on registration with the Welfare Board shall make an application in Form 1 to the Commissioner within ten days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Branch Manager shall ensure that register of employees is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commissioner within ten days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Maharashtra.
