STANDING ORDER
To
All Circle Officers,
Subject: The holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the holding of allotted surplus land by allottees of surplus land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every allottee of surplus land carrying on the holding of allotted surplus land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Tahsildar within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. The Circle Officer shall ensure that survey number is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Tahsildar within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Goa.
