STANDING ORDER

To

All Controllers of Accounts,

Subject: The procurement of goods and services by procuring entities under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the procurement of goods and services by procuring entities.

2. The matter has been examined. Every procuring entity carrying on the procurement of goods and services shall make an application in Form GFR 25 to the Directorate of Treasuries within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Controller of Accounts shall ensure that register of contracts is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Directorate of Treasuries within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Gujarat.
