STANDING ORDER
To
All Civil Defence Officers,
Subject: The operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation under the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Fire Force Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 28 of 1964), the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hazardous installation carrying on the operation of a hazardous installation shall make an application in Form F to the Civil Defence Controller within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.
3. The Civil Defence Officer shall ensure that shelter is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Civil Defence Controller within fifteen days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Karnataka.
