STANDING ORDER

All Assistant Press Registrars,

Subject: The business of an advertising agency by advertising agencies under the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964), the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the business of an advertising agency by advertising agencies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every advertising agency carrying on the business of an advertising agency shall make an application in Form II to the Broadcasting Authority within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Press Registrar shall ensure that set-top box is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Broadcasting Authority within one hundred and twenty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka.
