STANDING ORDER
To
All Revenue Inspectors,
Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Agricultural Tenancy Act, 1964 (Goa Act 7 of 1964), the Housing Department, Government of Goa hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. The Revenue Inspector shall ensure that record of rights is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Goa.
