STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Director of Tourism,

Subject: The operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (Kerala Act 8 of 2005), the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a ropeway by operators of a ropeway.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a ropeway carrying on the operation of a ropeway shall make an application in Form II to the Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Director of Tourism shall ensure that permission is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Kerala.
