STANDING ORDER

To

All Examination Controllers,

Subject: The running of an institution by institutions under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009 (Gujarat Act 8 of 2009), the Transport Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of an institution by institutions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every institution carrying on the running of an institution shall make an application in Form A to the Director of Education within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. The Examination Controller shall ensure that attendance register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Education within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Gujarat.
