STANDING ORDER

To

All Naib Tahsildars,

Subject: The occupation of land by occupants under the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Land Reforms Act, 1960 (Odisha Act 16 of 1960), the Transport Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of land by occupants.

2. The matter has been examined. Every occupant carrying on the occupation of land shall make an application in Form 7 to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Naib Tahsildar shall ensure that record of rights is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Sub-Divisional Officer within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Odisha.
