STANDING ORDER

To

All Building Inspectors,

Subject: The keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits under the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act, 1963 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1963), the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the keeping of animals by keepers of animals within the municipal limits.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of animals within the municipal limits carrying on the keeping of animals shall make an application in Form F to the Standing Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand five hundred rupees.

3. The Building Inspector shall ensure that hoarding is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Standing Committee within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka.
