STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputy Tahsildars,
Subject: The grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885 (Bihar Act 8 of 1885), the Environment Department, Government of Bihar hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the grazing of cattle on Government waste land by graziers on Government waste land.
2. The matter has been examined. Every grazier on Government waste land carrying on the grazing of cattle on Government waste land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.
3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that land revenue receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and twenty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Bihar.
