STANDING ORDER

To

All Pay and Accounts Officers,

Subject: The procurement of goods and services by procuring entities under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999 (Gujarat Act 11 of 1999), the Law Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the procurement of goods and services by procuring entities.

2. The matter has been examined. Every procuring entity carrying on the procurement of goods and services shall make an application in Form GFR 22 to the Comptroller and Auditor-General within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Pay and Accounts Officer shall ensure that grant is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Comptroller and Auditor-General within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Gujarat.
