STANDING ORDER
To
All Garrison Engineers,
Subject: The use of land for manoeuvres by occupiers of land used for manoeuvres under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the Home Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the use of land for manoeuvres by occupiers of land used for manoeuvres.
2. The matter has been examined. Every occupier of land used for manoeuvres carrying on the use of land for manoeuvres shall make an application in Form D to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. The Garrison Engineer shall ensure that building is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Chief Executive Officer of the Cantonment within thirty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
