STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistant Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The hereditary management of a temple by hereditary trustees under the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Act, 1983 (Uttar Pradesh Act 29 of 1983), the Agriculture Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the hereditary management of a temple by hereditary trustees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every hereditary trustee carrying on the hereditary management of a temple shall make an application in Form F to the Endowments Tribunal within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Assistant Charity Commissioner shall ensure that budget is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Endowments Tribunal within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Agriculture Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
