STANDING ORDER

All Deputy Tahsildars,

Subject: The sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land under the Andhra Pradesh Land Titling Act, 2023, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Land Titling Act, 2023 (Andhra Pradesh Act 27 of 2023), the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sinking of a well on Government land by owners of a well on Government land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a well on Government land carrying on the sinking of a well on Government land shall make an application in Form 3 to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Deputy Tahsildar shall ensure that mutation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Settlement Officer within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Registration and Stamps Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
