STANDING ORDER

To

All Housing Commissioners,

Subject: The provision of paying guest accommodation by paying guest accommodation providers under the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Buildings (Lease, Rent and Eviction) Control Act, 1960 (Andhra Pradesh Act 15 of 1960), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of paying guest accommodation by paying guest accommodation providers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every paying guest accommodation provider carrying on the provision of paying guest accommodation shall make an application in Form E to the Competent Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Housing Commissioner shall ensure that escrow account is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Competent Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
