STANDING ORDER

To

All Probation Officers,

Subject: The running of a working women's hostel by working women's hostels under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988 (Andhra Pradesh Act 10 of 1988), the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a working women's hostel by working women's hostels.

2. The matter has been examined. Every working women's hostel carrying on the running of a working women's hostel shall make an application in Form VIII to the Committee within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Probation Officer shall ensure that register is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Committee within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
