STANDING ORDER
To
All Education Officers,
Subject: The transport of school children by operators of a school bus under the Maharashtra Universities Act, 2016, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Maharashtra Universities Act, 2016 (Maharashtra Act 6 of 2016), the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transport of school children by operators of a school bus.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a school bus carrying on the transport of school children shall make an application in Form H to the Regulatory Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. The Education Officer shall ensure that course is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Regulatory Authority within sixty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Maharashtra.
