STANDING ORDER

To

All Building Inspectors,

Subject: The carrying on of a trade by persons carrying on a trade within the municipal limits under the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Town Planning and Urban Development Act, 1976 (Gujarat Act 27 of 1976), the Transport Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the carrying on of a trade by persons carrying on a trade within the municipal limits.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person carrying on a trade within the municipal limits carrying on the carrying on of a trade shall make an application in Form H to the Town Vending Committee within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Building Inspector shall ensure that building plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Town Vending Committee within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Gujarat.
