STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars,

Subject: The valuation of property for the court by valuers appointed by the court under the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959 (Maharashtra Act 36 of 1959), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the valuation of property for the court by valuers appointed by the court.

2. The matter has been examined. Every valuer appointed by the court carrying on the valuation of property for the court shall make an application in Form H to the Registrar General within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Registrar shall ensure that warrant is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar General within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Maharashtra.
